Please note: the 2015 Cape Fear 1000 Rally will be April 17-19, 2015

The 2015 The Cape Fear 1000 Rally starting locations for the 29-hour event will be:
Frostproof, Florida; Geneva, New York; and, Brownsville, Tennessee.

The Coastal Carolina Rally Krewe announces the tenth and final Cape Fear 1000 Rally being held April 17-19, 2015.  With the success of our formula of multiple starting locations as well as a 10-hour Mini-Rally in the past, there is no reason to change that part of the formula for the final event.  We will once again have three starting locations: Brownsville, TN; Frostproof, FL; and Geneva, NY for riders participating in the 29-hour rally and the 10 hour event starting in Wilmington, NC – all starting locations will end at Lily’s Banquet Room, Wilmington, NC  on Saturday, April 18, 2015.  Our host motel is once again the Econo Lodge – Wilmington, 5025 Market Street, Wilmington, NC  tel. (910) 799-6001.  Given the number of riders who have participated in the Cape Fear 1000 Rally since its inauguration event in 2006, there will be no public registration for the 2015 – this event will be invitation only.  Invitations to riders will begin being sent out around Christmas, 2014 and those invited will have 72 hours to RSVP in order to receive additional registration information or that invitation will expire and a new invitation will be sent to those with the next level of priority.  Priority of invitation will be first to the many loyal volunteers who have worked for many years to help make this such a popular event, next to those riders who have participated in all 9 previous events, then to those riders selected to ride in the 2015 Iron Butt Rally who have asked to participate in the 2015 Cape Fear 1000 Rally as a shakedown ride prior to starting the IBR, then priorities will be based on the number of Cape Fear 1000 Rallies participated in (the more time you have ridden in the rally, the better your chance of receiving an invitation.  Finally, the Rallymaster will have the ultimate decision-making authority when it comes to invitations and, as always, the Rallymaster’s decision is final.

So, if you want to ride in the 2015 Cape Fear 1000 Rally and have not received an invitation by January 10, 2015, shoot an email to the Rallymaster (rallymaster@capefear1000.com) and explain why you believe you should be in the 2015 Rally.  If there are slots still available then, who knows…

The 24-hour Rally generally begins at 10:00 a.m. (Eastern Time) on Friday and all riders will be due in Wilmington, North Carolina, not later than 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Mini-Rally will begin with rider check-in at 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening, followed by an informal gathering from 7:00-9:00 p.m. If the is going to be one, the Rider's Meeting begins at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday. Riders will be released at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday and are due back not later than 4:00 p.m.  The BBQ Feast will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday evening with rally results being announced, awards and recognition of riders at 8:30 p.m, or as soon thereafter as the scores can be tallied.
